Labtech has developed a range of twin screw extruders in many sizes and for all kinds of compounding applications. These extruders enable production of a broad range of polymer compounds from a minute output of only a few grams to a production scaling up to 250 kg/hr. The twins are available with a multitude of feeding systems, from volumetric to gravimetric and with a lot of downstream pelletizing systems.
The smaller sizes of Labtech’s twins are mainly for laboratory application. They are suitable for developing new formulas and for producing samples for your customer. The larger 26 mm twin is used both for lab and small production runs and the largest 36 mm twin is use mainly for production. This latter version has a very large output of up to more than 250 kg/hr. In addition, Labtech has a 26 mm combi twin which has interchangeable screws and quick change gear box so it can be used for both counter and co-rotating applications.
Twin Screw Extruders with 20 and 26 mm
Modular co-rotating Twin Screw Extruders are available with clamshell barrel inserts. With screw diameters of 12, 16, 20 and 26 mm and small batch productions. Single elements mounted on hexagonal shafts of screws for optimum flexibility of screw configurations. Available on both Single and Twin Screw Extruders are optional hopper feeders, vacuum pump with multiple vent outlets on the barrel, twin-screw side feeder, liquid feeders, quick screen changer and a multitude of screw element types and combinations.
