Waldec Group Strengthens Leadership Structure – Toni Jokinen Appointed COO

Waldec Group is strengthening its leadership structure to support continued international growth.

Founded in 1989 in Helsinki, Waldec has developed from a one-man company into an international industrial partner operating in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Thailand, Laos, and Malaysia. Over nearly four decades, Waldec has built a reputation as a trusted partner in the promotion, sales, and service of high-quality industrial machinery.

Today, a team of 20 dedicated professionals serves customers across the Nordics, Baltics, and Southeast Asia — delivering technical expertise, reliable service, and long-term value to manufacturing businesses.

Supporting Growth with Stronger Operational Leadership

As Waldec Group continues to expand geographically and operationally, the complexity of daily business management across multiple countries has increased significantly.

To ensure continued operational excellence, efficiency, and clarity in leadership, Waldec Group has implemented a strengthened management structure.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Toni Jokinen has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Waldec Group.

Toni has worked alongside Waldec Group’s CEO for 18 years and has played a key role in the company’s development and operational growth. As COO, he now assumes full responsibility for the daily operations of Waldec Group, overseeing business activities across the Nordics and Baltics together with the Heads of Business Units.

This appointment ensures a clear operational focus and supports Waldec’s commitment to providing high-level technical solutions and responsive service to its industrial customers.

Continued Strategic Leadership from the CEO

Hermann Chanthabouasy continues in his role as CEO and sole owner of Waldec Group, focusing on long-term strategic development and international expansion.

Following the acquisition of BTM Scandinavia in Sweden in 2024, Hermann will dedicate his efforts to further developing BTM as a growth-focused industrial company. In addition, he remains responsible for Waldec Group’s operations in Thailand, Laos, and Malaysia, strengthening the group’s presence in Southeast Asia.

While Hermann has gradually stepped back from daily operations in recent years, this updated structure formalizes responsibilities and positions Waldec for its next phase of growth.

A Natural Step in Waldec’s International Development

The appointment of a COO marks a natural evolution for Waldec Group as an expanding international industrial partner.

With clear operational leadership and strong strategic direction, Waldec is well-positioned to:

  • Strengthen its presence in the Nordic and Baltic markets
  • Expand industrial business opportunities
  • Enhance service and technical support capabilities
  • Continue sustainable international growth

A message from our newly appointed Chief operating officer:

“I am privileged to be part of Waldec from a three-person company to this day. Over the years I have worked in different roles and I hope that with this I can share my knowledge and experiences with my colleagues through my new role and build the future of Waldec. Thank you for this trust”

We warmly congratulate Toni Jokinen on his appointment as COO and look forward to the continued development of Waldec Group as a leading partner in industrial technology, and production solutions.
